The Florida Diabetes Camp is currently accepting applications for all of its summer camp programs. Camps are open to children with type 1 diabetes ages 6 through 18 and are offered at various locations around the state. Each camp targets a specific age group, and activities and education sessions are uniquely designed for that age group. All programs feature traditional land and water activities and pediatric endocrinologists, nurses, and other medical staff are in attendance at each camp. Financial assistance is available. All programs are open to youngsters with type 1 insulin dependent diabetes. Financial aid is available for all events. Call for registration information or check with your endocrinologist or diabetes educator.

Boggy Creek Gang Camp provides therapeutic camp programs for children with chronic illnesses, including special programs for those entering adolescent years. Also offered are educational and supportive programs and services for the parents, siblings, and other family members of chronically ill children. Camp Koral Kids 2012 dates coming soon! (Broward Health Coral Springs Medical Center) is a camp facility for diabetic children and offers two-week sessions with recreational activities geared especially for the diabetic child (ages 5.5 – 11). For more information call 954-344-3344.
